Organic Products
Organic production is gaining importance every day. In line with the increasing demand of organic products Ultimo has made a thorough research and recruited manufacturers who are already certified or in the process of producing an eco line.
Organic production may not be the most efficient system of production in the short run. It is slower, more labor-intensive and more expensive. However, its value cannot be denied in the long run as it helps to have a less toxic environment.
Products are considered organic or sustainable textile if the fibre used as well as the dye stuff, finishing processes and all other components of the articles are certified as organic according to the Global Organic Textile Standard. The required standard also involves social responsibility. All the companies in the supply chain, from farmers to finished goods manufacturers, are to be certified in this process.
